Sebastião, the best friend ever.

When i was younger i always wanted a dog, but i couldn’t have one because i lived on an apartment. My mum always told me: ‘just wait, someday you’ll have a dog, don’t worry’. I waited for long time till we move to a house and that was my chance to ask my parents a dog, the dog i always wanted. Mum said yes and we were all excited to choose the breed, we end up choosing golden retriever. They’re known by so many skills, family dogs, very active and really cute. They love children and every type of animals, need company and love people. After so many decisions we choose the breeder and went there just to see, well, that didn’t work and we ended choosing the dog on the same day, we just couldn’t resist to that cute little nose and lovely face. The next day i went there with my girlfriend to pick him up and he was so scared because of the car noise and all the new things around him, he was just 2 months and half old. My girlfriend took care of him on the way home and when he arrived he was just happy to see his new world and i can guarantee that he loves it. Two days later our cat, Mary, tried to approach him and of course he didn’t run away or bark, he layed down really curious like he was saying: ‘what’s this cute animal that’s watching me?’ and went straight away smell her. Since then they are friends and believe me, they can’t live without each other. Mary missed for a month and Sebastião was so sad at that time, we went to search her on our house area but couldn’t find her anywhere. She came back really weak and Sebastião was happy again, they licked each other till they fell asleep side by side. Mary was always a good company to Sebastião, every night she comes and walk with us, smelling all the things Sebastião smells, going under him and waiting for him. They’re too adorable to ignore. Everyone that has a dog knows exactly how i feel, it’s amazing to arrive home and see that special face looking at us and always smiling, it makes me smile too. He always knows what i’m feeling, he knows what’s the best time to play and when is the best time not to, he feels what i feel, he loves to walk everyday, he’s always ready to jump, run, play, he seems to understand everything we say. It’s amazing how animals turn into our best friends but in this case it doesn’t amaze me, Sebastião has one of the most amazing souls, energy and heart i ever known and i’m so lucky to have him. He’s my buddy, he’s that special friend that will always be in my mind and heart, he’s the one that makes me smile and hug him every time. Humans can be the best dog’s friend but they can be the worst too. It’s sad what humans do to animals, that’s why we need to fight for what we live for and what animals live for. But i know that there’s loads of people that love their animals and every animals on the world and would protect them with their lives and that gives me joy, the joy i need to live happily.
